What is ‘The Perfect Lap’ in Formula 1? Does it even exist? Commissioned by German data analysis giant SAP, one of McLaren’s main sponsors, this 3 part mini-series seeks to explore how various parts of the Formula 1’s team use the systems and tools SAP provides to record, analyse and use data and statistics to inform and influence their strategy and performance over the course of racing season to try and achieve as near as possible to ‘The Perfect Lap’.
