At the end of 2010, we were asked to create, storyboard, produce and post-produce an e-card for Vodafone’s ‘Power to You’ campaign using Lewis Hamilton at the McLaren Technology Centre. We worked from conception to delivery in 1 week. The idea was based around Lewis having the control and power over his car without actually being in the driving seat. It was agreed that it should have a fun, light-hearted Christmas theme whilst also delivering the Vodafone message and should be used as a viral as well as an e-card. The Vodafone Christmas CAR(ol) achieved 60,000 hits on YouTube in its first week, an article on the News of the World site and Vodafone subsequently broadcast the piece as a TVC in Europe.
